What is the Kickstarter Pre-Enlist
The Kickstarter Pre-Enlist is the official Star Squadrons TCG Founders List. By joining, you reserve your future Call Sign, receive a Founder ID (in enlistment order), and get early notifications about Kickstarter launch updates.
Is this a Kickstarter pledge or a purchase
No. This is a free pre-enlistment to the Founders List. It does not charge you and does not count as a Kickstarter pledge.
What is a Call Sign and what am I reserving
Your Call Sign is the name you want to reserve for the future Star Squadrons account system. This is separate from your Steam display name.
I will play on Steam — what happens to my name there
Our initial Steam launch in 2026 is SteamID-based. Your in-game identity is your SteamID, and your visible name can be your Steam display name. Steam display names are not unique, so duplicates can exist. Your reserved Call Sign applies to the future Star Squadrons account system.
What is a Founder ID
A Founder ID is a sequential identifier assigned in enlistment order after you submit the form. It will later be linked to your Star Squadrons account. It's proof you were early. Founder IDs have no cash value and are not transferable.
When is my Founder status locked in
Your Founder status is reserved as soon as you submit the form. You'll receive a confirmation email for your records. There is no additional email confirmation step required.
Can I change my Call Sign later
We plan to provide a way to update details later (via secure link). If you need changes urgently, contact us using the Contact page.
Physical Founder Surprise / Shipping
If you want to be eligible for a physical founder surprise mailed before Kickstarter, you can add shipping details. Limited availability, not guaranteed, and one per person/household at our discretion.
Beta Tester (future standalone digital version)
This Beta Tester signup is not for the current Steam build. It's for the future standalone Star Squadrons digital version, which may take significant time to release. Beta waves are limited and managed in phases.
Data, Privacy, Fair Use
We collect your email and reserved Call Sign to manage the Founders List and send updates. We do not sell your data. Duplicate or suspicious entries may be removed to keep the list fair.

Star Squadrons was previously known as "Star Citizen Squadrons" during an earlier non-commercial fan-project phase. Today it is an independent, original project and is not affiliated with Star Citizen or Cloud Imperium Games.
